On the second day of WTM, George Dumitru – wbe.travel’s CEO, has been invited to co-host the tech-related conference about “How the Tech Talent Landscape is Shaping Travel” alongside several travel & tech professionals from AltexSoft, Hotelbeds, SKYPATH, Thomas Cook

The second day of technology-based sessions at WTM London looked at how the demand for developers, engineers and data scientists is prompting travel sellers and system providers to reassess how to recruit and retain talent.
At the same time, many businesses are wrestling with decisions around the hybrid workplace, and the extent to which the work from home/work from anywhere trend, which emerged during lockdowns, will play out in the future.
On the technology stage, sponsored by Sabre Hospitality Solutions and moderated by Charlotte Lamp Davies of A Bright Approach, speakers from the front line of the talent crisis shared their experience and advice with attendees.

CEO George Dumitru explained that developing and integrating software to address specific pain points of its SME travel agent client base can be inspirational. “Our developers can see the immediate positive results of their work, and that feeling of ‘what I am doing is making a difference is very motivating.”
